To become a member you must live within the boundaries of the Juniata Rural Fire Protection District  OR work in the District and be able leave work to attend calls.  District boundaries are to the north; Barrows Road, to the east; Adams Central road, to the south; Oakridge, to the west; Liberty Ave to Highway 6, then following Highway 6 to one half mile west of Prosser Ave., and north again to 70th, then west to Hayland Ave.,  and north to Barrows Road.

You can join as an active member which requires attendance of 8 meetings and 12 hours of in-house training per year.  Active members must be between the ages of 18 and 65

You may join as a reserve member which requires attendance at 4 meetings a year and attend 8 hours of in-house training per year.  Reserve members must be between the ages of 18 and 70 and your level of activity is more limited because of the difference in training requirements

Medical members must carry a First-Responder or EMT certification issued by the State of Nebraska Department of Health.  Medical members do not have to be fire-fighters but will work hand and hand with the fire-fighters at rescue scenes.

All members must have a current State of Nebraska drivers license.

All persons wishing to join the Department must fill out an application and mail to the District Chief for presentation to the Rural Board of Directors for ratification.
